Osteopaths are extensively trained in anatomy, physiology, orthopaedic examination and osteopathic assessment/treatment which allows them to help with most musculoskeletal presentations in the body. As such, this knowledge gives them the ability to treat the ankle, knee, elbow, wrist, hand and everything in between. It is important however, to not just treat the extremities alone, if presenting with an issue in these areas the whole body will be taken into consideration in assessment and treatment to understand why these symptoms are occurring.
